Nancy Wake (1912–2011)
New Zealand born “Allied Operative” better known as the ‘White Mouse’, Nancy was the most decorated WWII servicewoman. Her code name was inspired by her ability to dodge her enemies, she was on the Gestapo’s most-wanted list.. At the time war broke out, Nancy was enjoying a comfortable life in Marseilles. She soon became a Resistance fighter, saboteur and leader of an army of 7,000 fighters during a guerrilla warfare campaign against the Nazis.
